Project coordinator, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Nenad Zrnić, gave the interview for the RTS portal about the new study model.
The meeting was opened at 10:00 on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 by Prof. dr Nenad Zrnic, project coordinator, UB. Due to COVID 19 travel restrictions, this meeting was organized virtually using Zoom platform. Prof. dr Nenad Zrnic opened the meeting, welcomed participants and introduced them with meeting agenda.
Prof. Dr Nenad Zrnic informed the SC members about the meeting he had with the representatives of The Ministry for Education, Science and Technological Development of the republic of Serbia.
Prof. Dr. Mirko Savic, UNS, also shared his cognition about the procedural stage of adoption of the proposed Dual Higher Education Model for Serbia. The short discussion about received feedback was initiated by Prof. dr Dragan Domazet, Metropolitan University. It was followed by the presentation of the Report on the overall project realization prepared and given by Dr. –Ing. Zarko Miskovic, UB, project administrator.
He introduced the participants with planned and realized activities on the project, as well as with the action plan for the further activities. The Financial aspects of the project were analysed through the presentation prepared and given by Dr.-Ing. Sanja Seslija, UB.
After the discussion and concluding remarks from prof. dr Nenad Zrnic, project coordinator, Steering Committee was closed at 11:30.
As part of Erasmus + week, at the Faculty of Economics in Subotica, University of Novi Sad, on 5th October, 2020 was held a presentation of projects. The following projects were presented: Professional Development of Vocation Education Teachers with European Practices (ProVET), Implementation of Dual Education in Higher Education of Serbia (DualEdu), Strengthening capacities for the implementation of dual education in BH higher education (DualSCI), Agricultural policy of European Union and its influence on the competitiveness of agri-food products of Serbia (AgriCom), Advanced data analytics in business (ADA), Dual education for industrial automation and robotics in Kazakhstan (DIARKAZ).
On this occasion, the results of previous work and a plan for future project activities were presented to students, professors, assistants and representatives of the economy.
On March 3-4th the local and steering committee meeting was held in Niš, Serbia. The host of meeting was NiCAT cluster. 18 participants from Serbian partner institutions and one representative from Spain. Coordinator Prof. Dr.-Ing. Nenad Zrnić, UB opened the meeting, welcomedparticipants and gave insight into the current situation of theproject. On December 5, 2019, the Austrian Embassy and the Foreign Trade Center in Belgrade organized a lecture and discussion at the Embassy in Belgrade on the topic of "Dual Higher Education". Prof. Dr. Nenad Zrnic, Vice-Rector of the University of Belgrade and coordinator of the DualEdu project, as a guest, presented the possibilities of ERASMUS research cooperation of the University of Belgrade with Austria and partners from the European Union, as well as the possibilities of cooperation of the company with students. Representatives of Austrian companies in Serbia were also present.
Within the 27th International Conference Telecommunications Forum - TELFOR 2019, wich was held from November 26 till November 27, 2019, at the Sava Center in Belgrade, the results and activities of the Erasmus+ project Implementation of Dual Education in Higher Education of Serbia – DualEdu were presented. On this occasion, a contact was established with the Erazmus+ consortium of the BENEFIT project to realize future joint activities and international projects. For the future collaboration of the DualEdu with the BENEFIT consortium, their experience in developing an integrated e-learning platform is of particular importance because it allows students to study and work in places that are geographically distant from their home universities - which is one of the basic assumptions of the concept of dual education.
On Saturday, December 8, 2019, the Erasmus+ project Implementation of Dual Education in Higher Education of Serbia - DualEdu was successfully presented at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade, within the 9th WeB & Serbian Moodle Moot 2019 conference. Given that distance learning software allow students to work and study in cities where their home universities are not located, the application of such software is an indispensable part of the dual education system in almost all European and worldwide educational systems.
